Cabo de Oro.

Moraira is an old Spanish fishing village on the Costa Blanca that has developed into a tourist resort. There are still parts of an 18th century fort to visit. It has largely retained its authentic character, partly thanks to the British residents, who managed to achieve a ban on high-rise buildings. The Cap d'Or watchtower stands on the top of the Cap d'Or peninsula (Cabo de Oro). The tower was built at the end of the sixteenth century, together with other watchtowers in Valencia. These towers maintained visual contact to warn each other of the approach of pirates. The round watchtower is 7 meters in diameter and 11 meters high and had two cannons. There was only one way to enter the tower, namely via a rope ladder that was operated from the inside.
