Creu de Senija.

From Senija we walk around Lliber and back. Along the way we first pass, via a vicious descent and ditto climb, the Cova de la Gargantua and a little later the Creu de Senija. Cova de la Gargantua, also called Cova dels Bandolers, was, among other things, the hiding place of the most famous bandit in the Marina Alta, Josep de la Tona, who together with his companions were known as “els segrestadors de la Marina” (the kidnappers of the Marina region). This gang committed one of the largest robberies: the Benimassot robbery. From the Creu de Senija, a cross also known as Alt de la Creu, creu de la Bassetes or Tossal de la Creu, you can enjoy a wide panoramic view.
