To an iconic mountain.

From Font de Moli just above Finestraat you walk clockwise along the flanks of the Puig Campana, on a narrow, steadily climbing path towards Coll de Pouet. Along the way it is pure enjoyment of the views to the interior such as on the Aitana. Along the way you always follow the yellow-white marking until the turn right to the top. This is at first a wide hiking trail, but then the ascending (sometimes very steep) trail to the top begins. At the top you can enjoy the beautiful views to the four cardinal points. You go back down the same way to the exit. Here you continue the route to the right along the flank. On the way you first pass a cave on the left, called Cova del Cremat and a little further on the right a dilapidated cave house. Then follows a tough descent and a piece of forest path to the starting point.

The Puig Campana is a mountain that is part of the Prebaetic System in southeastern Spain. With a height of 1,406 meters, it is the second highest mountain in the province of Alicante. Puig Campana is located in the municipality of Finestrat just 10 km from the Mediterranean coast just above Benidorm. This incredible mountain is notable for its curious conical shape, and also for a huge hole in the upper part of Puig Campana. The top can possibly be reached via the front (the famous vertical kilometer). At 3.6 km 1020 altimeters are conquered, but we opt for the less strenuous walk along the back.
