The hills of Cabeço-Carabassi.
The walk starts at the nature centre and first takes you past three observation huts. In these coastal marshes live numerous birds such as marbled ducks, tufted ducks, spoonbills and all kinds of wading birds. With a bit of luck you can even see flamingos! The route continues through the wetland towards the hills of Cabeço-Carabassí with old cultivation terraces in which typical Mediterranean shrubs grow, accompanied by carob and olive trees that still bear witness to the rich agricultural past. On your way you will pass various viewing platforms with each a different view of the nature reserve. At the last viewing platform there is also a restored bunker from the Spanish Civil War.
