Gorges du Brian

This beautiful walk goes through scrubland and past beautiful vineyards in the direction of the Gorges du Brian. The route then goes all the way through the gorge, with beautiful views along the way, in the direction of the charming village of Minerve. In the village of Minerve, the river Briant joins the Cesse. Because both streams have eroded tens of meters deep into the limestone, a well-defendable plateau was created at the confluence to which Minerve owes its existence.

Notre-Dame de Nazareth

This beautiful walk goes through the vineyards of Saint-Chinian to the rock of Notre-Dame. Here you have a beautiful view of the massif of the Caroux and the straight line of the Avants-Monts. You can also take a look at the old village of shepherds. The shelters, called Capitelles, have been restored and give a nice impression of what life was like for shepherds 200 years ago.

Rivierals circuit

Nice walk from the Col de la Bane. She goes past the ruins of Sieyres, a house used by the French resistance on top of the mountain. You are asked not to enter the ruin out of respect. The walk goes entirely over wide forest roads and for the most part through the forests of Somail. During the season, some parts are simply colored red from wild forest strawberries.

To the top of the Caroux

The walk starts in the small mountain village of Douch and rises to a plateau. You walk to a viewpoint through a beech and pine forest. Here you have an incredible view of the lowlands towards the Mediterranean Sea and the peaks of the Pyrenees. On the way back you will for the most part go through heathland where you also have the best chance to see mouflons.
