Although you will never do this beautiful walk on your own, it is a must do if you are in the Alquézar area. You descend into the gorge between the Peña Castibián on the left and Muros de la Colegiata on the right until the Rio Vero. Once on the river bed you should definitely go to the Cueva de Picamartillo, this immense cave is opposite the Barranco de Fuente. Then it continues through the gorge via various spectacular metal walkways to reach a beautiful view platform.

Pasarelas de Alquézar.
At the starting point it goes straight down and you descend into the gorge between the Peña Castibián on the left and Muros de la Colegiata on the right. Once you are down and reach the banks of the Rio Vero there is a sign on the left to the Cueva de Picamartillo. This cave is opposite the Barranco de Fuente and is definitely worth a detour. At the cave you can also enjoy a pebble beach and possibly some bathing (nice for the children). You go back to the path and you now follow the Rio Vero downstream via various metal walkways high above the river. You arrive at the old dam and, after another new piece of metal walkway, the old hydroelectric power station of Alquézar. A lake of deep blue turquoise invites you to cool off and rest. Then it continues in the direction of a beautiful viewing platform, from where you can look back again on the route that you have followed. From the viewing platform you take the wide dirt road on the right that goes up to Alquézar. At the border of the village you can leave your helmet at a small parking lot in a large receptacle.

POI 1 - The Rio Vero Gorge.
Located between the towns of Lecina and Alquézar, the Vero River hollows out beautiful gorges full of shelters and caves between the limestone rocks through which it flows. These are the result of the process in which limestone is dissolved by the inflowed water that flows through the fault lines of the area.
