De Geelders nature reserve.
Soon after leaving the station, the tour goes through Stapelen Park with the 13th century Stapelen Castle. After following the Dommel in Boxtel, the tour goes to the De Geelders nature reserve. The De Geelders nature reserve consists of coppice banks, deciduous forest with avenues, poplar groves, grassland and fields. The Geelders is a quite wet area, especially in winter, so waterproof shoes are recommended. An alternative is available for the wettest parts of the tour. On the edge of the area, the former German Line is followed, the route was opened in 1878 as part of the London-Berlin-St. Petersburg connection. What remains is a last remaining stretch of railway line between Boxtel and Veghel. The tour then continues through small-scale agricultural areas to the Dommel. The Dommeldal consists of meadows, fields and bushes. The meadows are meadows and hay fields. Further from the river there are rounded fields on the higher grounds. For Sint-Oedenrode, the Dommel is temporarily left for a visit to the hamlet of Oud Rijsingen with, among others, Hoeve Arbeidslust or Kienehoeve, the original farm was the first reclamation farm of the Schijndelse Heide. After a visit to the hamlet, a small but nice part of Dommel is followed before the tour ends in Sint-Oedenrode.

Shortening: For those who think 20 km is too long, you can also start in the center of Liempde. The linear walk "Het Groene Woud-7-Variant" is 14 km, which means you miss a section through the De Geelders nature reserve.
