The hike starts at the Groot Speijck nature gate in the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen nature reserve and goes along the beautiful Diaconie fen to the Oude Hondsberg, a beautifully varied forest area through which the Reusel stream flows. After leaving the Oude Hondsberg, the Ter Braakloop forest area is visited, originally a drifting sand area planted with pine trees. Due to the current management measures, it has become an attractively varied forest area with imposing beeches, the Schaaps fen and a small sand drift at the Pierenberg in various places. After leaving the Ter Braakloop forest area, the hike continues through the Oude Hondsberg and along the Reusel stream, before returning to the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen. The fens Brandven, Kolkven, Lammervennen, Achterste Goorven and Voorste Goorven are visited in the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen.
