BAYES AND VIEWS.

The walk starts on the edge of Augua Amarga, which has a Moorish feel. You ascend to the Cerro Del Cuartel. The path goes through the typical volcanic landscape of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. Then you descend to the Rambla del Barranco de la Cala to reach Cala Enmedio. This beautiful bay is surrounded by erosion-ridden cliffs and has a beautiful white sandy beach. After visiting this gem, you walk along a dirt road towards the Cortijo de la Cala de Enmedio, an old farm. You continue along a narrow path to the Cerro de la Higuera and finally descend to the Rambla del Plomo. From there it is a short distance to the Cala del Plomo. This bay also has a beautiful beach. You return via the same road just before the descent to Agua Amarga. Here you take a detour to a viewpoint at an old bunker. The view of Agua Amarga and the iconic Mesa Roldán is truly fantastic.
