The beach of Genoveses

The Playa de Los Genoveses is one of the most beautiful beaches in the volcanic landscape of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. You go over the beach to the Morrón de los Genoveses where you have a unique view of the bay. The walk takes you over mountain paths high above the Cala de los Amarillos before descending to the small picturesque beach of Cala Príncipe. Through the plain of Cerro Del Barronar, you walk to the beach of Mónsul.

MORRÓN DE LOS GENOVESES.

The walk starts on a dirt road along the edge of the village towards the sea. A beautiful panoramic path takes you high above the Playa de Los Genoveses. You descend to the beach that you follow in the direction of the Morrón de los Genoveses, a volcanic rock at the end of the bay. On top of the rock you have a beautiful view of the bay and the sea. You descend again and continue high above the Cala de los Amarillos until you start a steep descent to the small picturesque beach Cala Príncipe. Here you climb back up through a ravine and walk along the flank of the volcanic mountains to the Cerro Del Barronar, a plain overgrown with ageves. Finally you reach the Playa De Mónsul, immediately the furthest point of the walk. Via a wide dirt road you now return in the direction of the Playa de Los Genoveses. Along the edge of the beach you walk in the direction of the Windmill del Collado de los Genoveses to return to the starting point.
