Sorrel Peel.
The Heesbeemden consists of brook forests with alder and willow, and small meadows. The Meandering Blakterbeek brook flows through the area. The Aardsbroek is a varied moist deciduous forest remnant. De Heesberg and Steegberg are former heath and drift sand areas and consist mainly of pine forest. During the stage you will pass several chapels such as a white chapel in the middle of the forest. This chapel, the St. Anthony Chapel, is well known for its prayer for lost objects. Not all peel areas have remained peel remnants or become agricultural areas, for example, the Sorrel Peel is currently an approx. 25 meter high hill with a beautiful view of the wide surroundings. The hill on which one stands was created by rubbish dump that took place there for years. In 1990 the landfill was closed and the mountain was provided with a top seal and partial bottom seal with water collection and purification. Still, it was a nice moment to pause on the hill with the thought that the area over which one looks out was once a high moor area that was hardly accessible over the centuries.

The stage goes through the edge of an agricultural plot. If the edge is difficult to walk on due to vegetation or boggy in wet seasons, the alternative can be followed.
