After a short visit to the center of Sint-Oedenrode with various sights, the tour goes through a small park with Henkenshage castle. Henkenshage Castle is a castle-like building in Sint-Oedenrode. In fact, the building is not a real castle, but a country house. After leaving Sint-Oedenrode, the tour goes to Boskant, this part of the tour mainly passes through an agricultural poplar landscape, an agricultural area with livestock farms and tree nurseries with many poplars along the country roads, which is typical for this area. From Boskant the tour goes via the Scheeken nature reserve towards Liempde. De Scheeken consists of a beautiful small-scale scenic landscape that dates back to the 12th century. There is a great variety of forests, groves, hedgerows, rows of trees, meadows and fields. The last part of the tour focuses on the Dommel and the German Line. The German Line is a railway line that opened in 1878 as part of the London-Berlin-St. Petersburg connection. What remains is the last remaining stretch of railway line between Boxtel and Veghel. Before the tour ends, we will visit Stapelen Park with the 13th century Stapelen Castle.
