Ourique is a place with around 6,000 inhabitants and is known for the Porco Preto, the black pig. A delicacy that is featured on many menus. You can still see the black pig in orchards regularly. The sights in Ourique are the Castelo de Ourique, Miradouro Ramiro Sobral and the ruin Necrópole de Atalaia.
