National Park Center Lusen

The Lusen National Park Center is ideal for a day trip with the whole family, you can visit the 'Hans Eisenmann House', where you can learn about the Bavarian Forest National Park in an interactive way with a permanent exhibition. The animal park is 200 hectares and introduces you to the typical animals that come from the Bavarian Forest such as lynx, wolves, bison, otters, bears and the capercaillie.

The Hans-Eisenmann-House.

The permanent exhibition "Path to Nature - A History of Forests and Humans" introduces the secrets of the Bavarian Forest National Park. What is behind the philosophy of "letting nature be nature"? How has the nature reserve evolved since it was founded? For children there is a special children's line with eleven listening stations, where information about the national park is given in a child-friendly way.

Animal park.

Lynxes, wolves, bison, otters, bears or capercaillie: experience the typical wild animals that come from the Bavarian Forest. In the middle of the upcoming forest wilderness you can observe about 40 species of mammals and birds on more than 200 hectares. The animals are housed in spacious, natural fences and aviaries. A seven kilometer course, for which you have to take three to four hours, invites you for a voyage of discovery. The area is freely accessible all year round and suitable for prams and wheelchairs. In winter, the paths are cleared of snow.

There is a 1300 meter long tree path made where you go up to 44 meters above the ground..

Young explorers can do the children's rally. There are tricky puzzles to solve. Anyone who solves the secrets of the forest will eventually receive a small surprise.
