Motte du Bourg.
The walk starts in the picturesque village of Wissant. After leaving the village you walk between gorse and broom bushes along a large water feature that was created around the old Fond du Phare quarry. In two viewing huts you can quietly watch numerous water birds, including a large colony of cormorants. The vegetation around the lake is kept short by Scottish Highlanders. When you arrive at a parking lot, walk back and forth to the Motte Du Bourg viewpoint. Here you have a beautiful view of the bay of Wissant and the surrounding area. You continue through a mixed forest to a final viewing hut located next to some smaller ponds. After visiting the viewing hut you will soon arrive in the dunes where you will go a short distance through loose sand to the beginning of the Wissant esplanade. Here you have a beautifully decorated viewpoint. You can stroll the last part along the esplanade to the departure point.
