Lac Blanc.

From the Pont de la Pêche you follow the route of the GR55 to the Péclet-Polset refuge. You first take a wide dirt road past the Refuge du Roc de la Pêche and later past the exit to the alpage de Ritort. From there a strong climb to the Péclet-Polset refuge begins. If you want to go even further to the Lac Blanc, go behind the refuge and follow the steep path to an altitude of 2459 meters. At this point you have a beautiful view of the lake and the Gébroulaz glacier. If you want to go even further to the Col de Souffre, follow the path that descends to the lake and then start the steep climb to the Col (2819 m). The col du Souffre is colored yellow because of the sulfur in the rock. This area is also a favorite place for ibex in summer.
