Crêt de la Neige

A sportive walk to the highest peak of the Jura de Crêt de la Neige at an altitude of 1720. Once on the Crét there is no vegetation anymore so you have a wonderful view of Lake Geneva, the Alps and Mont Blanc. There is also a small cave on the Crêt.

Haute Chaîne.

From the parking lot it goes up steeply via a forest road and a forest path to an altitude of 1650 meters. Then it goes a little flatter and you follow the GR along the ridge to the Crét de la Neige. You return to the starting point via the same route.

The Haute Chaîne and its highest point, the Crêt de la Neige (1720 meters high), is a true paradise for outdoor activities such as hiking, and since 1993 protected as a nature reserve. This is due to the precious flora and fauna, with 950 registered flowers and plants, 10 of which are protected at national level, 209 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians including the capercaillie, the golden eagle and the lynx.
