This walk departs from La Borne au Lion, which marked the old route to Spain and is also the memorial site of the maquis that had a headquarters and field hospital here in WW2. The route leads you to the viewpoint of the Crêt de Chalam where you have a 360 degree panorama of the Alps, the Valserine valley and the top of Reculet.

Nice walk to a cauldron valley with beautiful waterfall. At the back of the cauldron valley, which is dominated by peaks of more than 1000 meters, the waterfalls of Flumen seem to rule the world. The Flumen, "river" in Latin, is created by the flowing water from the lake of Lamouraen de Hautes-Combes. He sweeps his way through the cleft and cracked rocks to join the Tacon, a tributary of the Bienne, after about 4 kilometers.
