The Zwin hiking route introduces you to the great diversity of natural values and landscapes in Knokke-Heist. From the Zwin Nature Park or the Oosthoek you stroll through the 'Zwinduinen and -polders' and explore the 'Hazegraspolder'. Old seawall dikes bear witness to the fight against the sea. You walk through the 'Koningsbos', over wooden paths and between Scottish highland cattle. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Zwin plain.

Nature around Knokke-Heist.
The walk starts at the new Zwin visitor center. The walk first runs through the 'Kleyne Vlakte' polders, crosses the 'Oude Hazegraspolder' behind the dike and runs along and through the 'Koningsbos' to Oosthoekplein. You continue along Wiedouwpath and Zenopath until you reach the sea dyke, where you follow the paved path until you reach the Zwin Expansion Zone. Here you have a beautiful viewpoint of the Zwin and the sea. The image with the jumping hare 'Hospitality' gives an extra dimension to this place. From there it goes back to the starting point via a second viewpoint.
Excellent marking.
Some parts run on a cycle path.
Short piece of loose sand.
