Langbos and Babbelse Plassen.

From the starting point you walk to the Langbos and Babbelse Plassen nature reserve, which is part of the Grote Boshoek landscape park. Pollard willows and wooded edges surround the flowery meadows in this nature reserve. You continue next to the railway in the direction of the two historic forest chapels dating back to the 17th and 19th centuries. You walk through the Kapellekensbos on decking paths. The route now largely follows rural roads in the direction of the Oude Spoorwegberm nature reserve. Here you follow the route of the former railway line 25A. You leave this area and follow the course of the Babbelsebeek to the Schapenhagen nature reserve. Schapenhagen is a young nature reserve that serves as a flood zone to protect the residential areas of Kontich Kazerne against flooding. You walk back to the village center on rural roads.
