The province of Girona is rich of nature to walk in. In addition to protected natural parks such as l'Albera, Cap de Creus, Dels Aiguamolls de L'Empordà, Del Montgrí, les Illes Medes i el Baix Ter, Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa and Montseny, there are still many beautiful natural areas such as the wooded area of Les Gavarres and the coasts from Cap de Begur to Cap de Sant Sebastià and from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Tossa de Mar.

The Pyrenees in Lleida are home to some of the highest mountains in Catalonia. The Pica d'Estats, on the border with France, is the highest peak at 3,143 meters, but several other areas are about 3,000 meters high: Els Besiberris, El Comaloforno, El Montardo, El Gran Tuc de Colomers, Els Pics de Bassiero and El Montsent de Pallars.
