Oisterwijkse Bossen and Vennen.
After leaving the town of Oisterwijk, the hike goes through the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen nature reserve. This very popular walking area is best known for its many fens. The walk goes past various fens. Some of the fens are of considerable size and are attractive because of their heavily wooded, rugged banks and the occurrence of small islands. After leaving the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen nature reserve, the hike goes via the Klein Oisterwijk nature gate to the Kampina. In the Kampina, the former agricultural enclave of Balsvoort is visited and along the Beerze stream. In this agricultural enclave, one of the foundations of the five farms was made visible in the landscape again in 2015. There were fields, ponds and hedgerows surrounding the buildings. If you look around carefully, these landscape elements are still recognizable in this part of the Kampina.
