Nice and very varied walk at the gate of the Cevennes. At the top of the Lacan you have a beautiful view of the Cevennes, the plain of the Gardon and even the Mont Ventoux. If you want to walk to the Château de Tornac you have to go back and forth at WP1.

To the top of the Lacan.

The route goes under the railway bridge in the direction of the archery center of Tavion. Then it continues in the direction of a campsite, you cross a small stream and finally you arrive at the viewpoint at the top of the Lacan. Here you have a beautiful view of the gate of the Cevennes, the plain of the Gardon and even the Mont Ventoux. Then it continues in the direction of Marel and the ruins of Bancels back to the starting point. You can go back and forth (700 meters) to the castle of Tornac at the end of the walk.

The castle of Tornac is strategically located at the entrance of Anduze. The castle dates from the 11th and 12th century and is located on the right bank of the Gardon. You have a magnificent view of Anduze, the vineyards and the Cevennes. The castle is open to the public free of charge.
