Le Viganais is a promontory of Mont Aigoual. This beautiful walk goes through the Coudoulous valley through a beautiful mixed forest in the direction of the Cascades d'Orgon. In the summer, these waterfalls are just a trickle of water, but in the spring and autumn it is a powerful and noisy river that falls down. The view from the panorama path on the Cascades d'Orgon is breathtaking. The rolling hills of Viganais unfold at your feet and in the distance you can admire the Cevennes.

The Coudoulous valley.
The walk starts at the gite d’étape and goes through the forest in the direction of the col de la Luzette. Once across the col you will come to the Valat de L’abreuvoir and Le Coudoulou streams. The stone walls and bridges that you encounter along the way were built during reforestation at the end of the 19th century. You now ascend and end up on "Le Chemin du Cimetière", the cemetery path. This road is so called because the lightning struck a herd of sheep and hundreds of animals died there. You now descend and you arrive at a nice picnic area at the Cascades d'Orgon. On a bridge you have a beautiful view of the falls. The trail now descends quite steeply to the GRP Tour Du Viganais that takes you back to the starting point.
