The walk goes through the pretty village of Laforêt in the direction of the Semois. From June to September, a wickerwork bridge is built across the Semois. The Pont de Claies is an heirloom of the tobacco growers who, without having to make a detour, made their way to the fertile farmland along the river. When you have crossed the Semois, you follow the river to Vresse-sur-Semois. Here you join the other route. Outside this period you can walk directly to Vresse-sur-Semois. You cross the Semois and go through the village. Once out of the village you start a steep climb to La Perche. From here you follow a nice forest path in the direction of La Terne. At La Terne, the landscape becomes more open and you walk along the traffic-calmed road to Grand Croix at an altitude of 365 meters. A nice covered picnic area has been set up here. From Grand Croix walk on a wide forest road in the direction of Membre. In Membre you cross the Semois again and you start a very steep climb to the watchtower at La Roche à Saloru (325 meters). Here you have a unique view of the village of Membre and the valley of the Semois. There are also some benches at the tower. Through forest and open landscape you descend in the direction of the starting point.
