Domain Puyenbroeck.

From the car park you walk into the Puyenbroeck domain and you arrive quickly at the 15-meter-high watchtower. You walk through the Living Heritage Park and the Siesmeers forest, a mixed forest. You cross the Stenenbrug and go on wide unpaved roads to the Olentgracht. You follow the canal on the edge of the Etbos nature reserve over a path next to the canal. At the Kruisdam, follow the poplar-lined avenue to the bridge over the Zuidlede. From here you walk along the banks of the Zuidlede, an old branch of the Moervaart or former Durme. As a waterway, the Zuidlede played an important role for a long time for the transport of materials and goods, including wood and peat to Ghent. On the path you have a nice view on the Turfmeersen at certain places. You cross the Stenenbrug again and follow the Zuidlede for a short while to the slingervijver with the lookout tower as an eye-catcher.
