From apple to blueberry.

Via the Paters path you walk in the direction of the Blauwbossen. A little further you walk past Tom Mertens' company that grows blueberries. You return to the starting point via rural roads. The blossoms are at their best from April to June (depending on the weather), but this walk is also worth doing outside the blossom period. You leave for Fruitbedrijf Stoffels-Van Baelen where you can taste fresh apples or their freshly squeezed apple juice almost all year round. From there you walk to blueberry grower Tom Mertens and his wife Jacqueline. From May to the end of September they harvest no less than 11 varieties of blueberries. They also process these into juices and jams via Local Harvest. So something for every taste…

POI 1 - Local Harvest.

Local Harvest is a partnership of growers who want to market their locally produced products all year round. The goal is to create added value from these products for both grower and consumer. They want to use this to build a circular system so that nothing is lost. Their crops are sustainable and local.
