The province of Cáceres has a continental climate with high temperatures in summer and mild winters. It is an unspoilt and very sparsely populated area with beautiful landscapes, mountains and beautiful natural areas, such as the Monfragüe National Park or the green valley of La Vera, both lying around the basin of the rivers Tagus and Tiétar.
Monfragüe National Park.
The Monfragüe National Park is mainly known by bird watchers, but three beautiful hiking trails have also been set out. On these tours you will have beautiful views, but you will certainly see Griffon Vultures and Monk Vultures soaring. The chance that you can spot red deer up close is also very high. It is also the habitat of the Pardellynx but this shy animal will be very difficult to see.
