The province of Girona is rich of nature to walk in. In addition to protected natural parks such as l'Albera, Cap de Creus, Dels Aiguamolls de L'Empordà, Del Montgrí, les Illes Medes i el Baix Ter, Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa and Montseny, there are still many beautiful natural areas such as the wooded area of Les Gavarres and the coasts from Cap de Begur to Cap de Sant Sebastià and from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Tossa de Mar.

Natural Park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Area.
The nature park covers 15,000 hectares of lush vegetation in which oak, holm oak and beech forests are strongly represented. The Natural Park has 28 hiking trails, most of which are marked. However, some longer routes do not, but these are easy to find for experienced hikers using a nature park route map. The routes of the Natural Park also often connect with those of the Itinerànnia hiking trail network. It is therefore possible to follow the routes of the nature reserve by means of Itinerànnia every other point of the Garrotxa, Ripollès or Alt Empordà can be reached on foot.
Les Gavarres.
Les Gavarres has a total area of 28,548ha, of which 16,719 belongs to Baix Empordà. Gavarres offers many hiking and cycling activities for all ages that allow you to visit churches and megalithic tombs, traverse forests and enjoy the beauty of Baix Empordà.
Cami Ronda.
The Cami Ronda is a coastal path comparable to a sentier littoral in France. You have different routes such as that from Calogne to Platja d'Aro or the route between Palamos and Cap Roug. You can obtain information about these beautiful coastal paths from the various tourist offices.
