Torcasierra

This mountain hike is ideal for people who want to get acquainted with the high mountains. From the invernales de Cabao, the route follows a wide dirt road in the direction of Arroyo De La Canero. Further on you walk over mountain trails to the Collado De Pandébano at an altitude of 1281 meters. After the Refugio De La Terenosa you start the climb to Torcasierra. At Torcasierra you have a unique view of the Picu Urriellu (2518 meters).

Picu Urriellu.

The walk starts at the invernales de Cabao and goes via a wide dirt road over the Collado La Argana (1008 meters) and the Collado Cuaeyya (1033 meters) in the direction of Arroyo De La Canero. Along the way you have beautiful views of Sotres and the valley. At Arroyo De La Canero the dirt road ends and you start the climb to the Collado De Pandébano (1281 meters), you now always follow the path that goes to the refugio Urrielle. You can take a break at the refugio De La Terenosa (1300 meters). The path continues to rise along the flank until you reach Torcasierra (1540 meters), where the path makes a sharp left turn and your effort is rewarded with a unique view of the Picu Urriellu. An ideal place to enjoy your picnic. You return to the starting point via the same route.
