The descent from the Ferme de Montaigle to the castle of Montaigle through the valley of the Flavion, is worthwhile. Along the Flavion you will discover several caves in the steep cliffs where hunter-gatherers lived in the stone age. You should not miss the castle ruins and the Montaigle museum. In addition, you get a magnificent view of the river landscape and the surrounding rocks at the castle. The way back to Falaën takes you past the hamlet of Le Marteau in the valley of the Molignée and the bare heights of La Héronnière.
