Terhills is the main entrance gate to the Hoge Kempen National Park. The headstock of the former van Eisden mine is an unmissable highlight. Climb the stairs and from 24 meters you will receive a unique view of the surroundings as a reward. After the mining activity was extinguished, nature was given free rein again. Terhills has 4 slag heaps, 3 of which are accessible. During this walk you first climb the Lange Terril and then conquer the Tweelingen terril. From their peaks you have an unforgettable view of the surrounding landscape of the Maas valley and the Hoge Kempen National Park.
Well marked.
During the weekend it can be quite busy.
